After two weeks of working on this mask for several hours everyday it's finally done! My lifesize replica/version of Majora's mask from LoZ: Majora's mask. One of my favorite childhood games. I forgot to measure exactly how big it is, but it's pretty light despite it's size and will be wearable! (It has eyeholes and everything, just no straps for your head yet) I plan on doing a Skullkid cosplay this year and figured the mask would be the biggest challenge, I was right
Lost track of exactly how many hours this took me, the painting it's self took me 3/4 days. Anyway it's made completely from scratch out of, Armature wire, floral wire, paper mache, cereal box cardboard, paper clay, gesso, acrylic paint, mod podge, and some other things I'm sure I'm forgetting.
I was thinking of making a video how-to or talk through of how I made it exactly, if anyone thinks that's a good idea or would like to know, let me know!
Oh wow Thank you! I intend to hang it on my wall when I'm not wearing it myself. If you want to try making one yourself I posted a video talkthrough of how I made it.
The replica reminds me of an epic moment in my fanfic. You'll have to read it to find out. I don't want to spoil anything.
